at New York Rangers 3, Tampa Bay 1: Jaromir Jagr, who flashed a toothless grin after having his mouth bloodied earlier by an errant stick, fired in a one-timer with 9:15 left in the third period to give the Rangers a 2-1 edge with his power-play goal.
San Jose 4, at Dallas 2: Devin Setoguchi’s two goals came in the third period of his first NHL game to help the Sharks rally. San Jose scored its final three goals on three consecutive shots.
Washington 7, at Toronto 1: The Capitals’ Alexander Ovechkin scored twice, increasing his career total against the Maple Leafs to nine goals in nine games. Toronto replaced starting goalie Vesa Toskala after Washington’s fourth goal.
