Update -- Chivas USA midfielder Sacha Kljestan has three goals and six assists in the team’s nine games since the All-Star break. Chivas is 6-1-2 in those games. Coincidence? In the 15 games before the All-Star game, Kljestan had one goal and three assists and Chivas barely had a .500 winning percentage. Now Chivas is a win or a tie away from clinching a spot in the playoffs. The only loss during that stretch was to tonight’s opponent in Kansas City. Several Chivas players felt it was a game they should not have lost, but a goal in the 89th minute negated that. The game will start at 7:30 p.m., but the broadcast of the game won’t begin until 8 because of a previous contractual agreement by FSN West to broadcast a college football game.
