SUV linked to double slaying sought
Police were searching Thursday for an SUV that may have been connected to the death of a man and woman in an Inglewood office building the day before.
Inglewood police said they received a report of a robbery at an insurance agency in the 400 block of West Manchester Boulevard about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. After police entered the business, they found the two bodies, said Inglewood Police Sgt. Gabriela Garcia.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced the victims dead at the scene. Authorities did not identify the victims or manner of death pending notification of kin, but police said the man and woman were Latino adults.
At least one witness identified two cars that may be connected with the incident, Garcia said. Officers are searching for a champagne or gold-colored 2000 Ford Explorer with license plate 4LXE391, Garcia said.
Shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday a tipster helped police find the other car, a blue 2006 BMW 328i, in a parking lot of a park in the 400 block of East Warren Lane, Garcia said. The car was impounded, she said.
Police have no suspects.
“We still don’t know the motive, we’re not even sure what was taken,” Garcia said. “The office was ransacked, but we don’t know if it was ransacked to make it appear as though it was a robbery or if it was ransacked because it was an actual robbery.”
