There’s a limit

Bill Shaikin noted in his Sunday column that the Colorado Rockies don’t have any black players on their roster. This is insane. Every team should have at least five black players. And three Asian players and certainly at least four Hispanic players. And obviously at least one Pacific Islander. Don’t you think? And it’s also absurd that the ratio of black players has fallen from one in six to one in 12. For there to truly be equality and no racism in our country, the ratio should have climbed to one in 2.8.

And I’ve noticed another thing. I’ve watched NBA games where there isn’t a single white player on the floor. This is also insane and I agree, we have much work to do.
