3 sentenced in 2005 shooting
Three gang members were sentenced Friday in federal court for a drive-by shooting in suburban San Marcos in 2005.
Authorities say the three members of the Varrio San Marcos gang tried to kill members of the rival South Los gang in a territorial dispute over drug trafficking and extortion. A 12-year-old boy was wounded in the attack.
Cedar Moedano, 31, received a 16-year sentence and Leon Rossetto, 25, was sentenced to 15 years. Geovani Bernal, 22, received a five-year term. All had pleaded guilty.
