at Cal State Fullerton 79, Central Michigan 65: Josh Akognon had 27 points, a career-high seven assists and six rebounds to lead the Titans (4-5) over the Chippewas (2-5). Marcio Lassiter had 13 points and Papa Guisse had five blocks for Fullerton, which has won two of three. Jacolby Hardiman scored 19 points for Central Michigan, which has lost three in a row and five of its last six. Fullerton took an 8-1 lead before Central Michigan closed the margin to 10-7. But Akognon scored eight points during an 18-7 surge that extended the lead to 28-14 with 9:43 left in the first half.

at San Francisco 78, Long Beach State 74 (2 OT): Dior Lowhorn matched his season high with 26 points and had eight rebounds and the Dons (6-3) shook off a slow start to beat the 49ers (4-3) in double overtime. Lowhorn was held scoreless in the first overtime but had five points and a key block in the second extra period. Blake Wallace had 12 points and 11 rebounds for San Francisco. Donovan Morris scored 21 points to lead the 49ers, 19 coming after halftime. Morris’ tip-in off a Chris Ware miss with nine seconds left in the first overtime tied the score at 65-65.

Wyoming 62, at Loyola Marymount 55: Afam Muojeke scored 19 points and Tyson Johnson had 16 points to lead the Cowboys (6-1) over the Lions (0-8). Muojeke, the second leading scorer in the Mountain West Conference at 19 points per game, made seven of 12 shots and scored 16 of his 19 points in the first half. With the score tied at 51-51 with 4:31 left, Johnson and Sean Ogirri each converted four critical free throws down the stretch to help Wyoming (6-1) seal the win. Marko Deric tied a career-high with 16 points for Loyola.

at UC Riverside 67, Southern Utah 63: Aaron Scott scored 20 points to lead the Highlanders (5-2) over the Thunderbirds (3-5). Brandon Dowdy scored 16 points and Javon Borum had 14 for Riverside, which has five consecutive home wins, its longest streak since moving to Division I seven seasons ago. Dave Marek and Tyler Quinney had 14 points each and Davis Baker had 13 to lead Southern Utah. Riverside limited the Thunderbirds to one field goal over the last four minutes.

WOMEN

BYU Hawaii 65, USC 64: Jazmine Foreman had 19 points and six assists and the Seasiders (5-2) rallied to defeat the Trojans (4-3) in the Hukilau Invitational at Laie, Hawaii. It was the second narrow loss in two days for USC, which fell to Utah Valley, 66-64, Friday. The Trojans, who led, 34-28, at halftime, were paced by Briana Gilbreath’s 11 points. Aarika Hughes scored 10.
