Randolph didn’t get a bouquet

No rose petals at the Rose Garden for Zach Randolph.

Just plenty of boos for the former Trail Blazer and stunned silence at the eventual outcome Friday night in Portland.

“They still miss me,” said Randolph, who had a season-high 38 points in the Clippers’ 120-112 double-overtime victory against the Trail Blazers.

He was joking, almost impishly, or as impishly as someone who is 6 feet 9 can joke.

A certain kind of love from the Trail Blazers fans? “Yeah, it is,” Randolph said.

Randolph, who was acquired from the New York Knicks in a four-player trade Nov. 21, would have scored 40 points had he not been cold early on. It was his first 30-point game this season.

Randolph was 15 for 30 from the field, and made two three-point baskets.

“He missed his first four, five shots. We tried to tell him, ‘Calm down. Take it easy. They’re going to spend a lot of time coming to you,’ ” Coach Mike Dunleavy said.

“Marcus [Camby] gave him a great pass . . . gave him a layup. You get a score going, it doesn’t matter how you do it. Once you get an easy one, it takes the pressure off.”

Randolph sat back in his locker stall before the game against Houston on Saturday and drank an energy beverage while contemplating a tough jousting session against Yao Ming, saying, “Big guy. I got to get ready.”
