Update: The Blues have had to play much of the season without two of their best point producers. Paul Kariya will have surgery on his left hip, the team announced Saturday, and might sit out the rest of the season. Andy McDonald has been out 17 games because of a fractured left leg. Defenseman Eric Brewer has sat out the last six games because of a herniated disk. The Blues had lost seven of their last eight games before Saturday’s shootout win over San Jose. The Ducks’ Chris Kunitz has three goals in the three games against St. Louis this season.
