Deputy-involved shooting probed
A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy shot a man in the lower torso Sunday in Lancaster. Police said they were investigating the shooting that occurred at 11:45 a.m. in the 300 block of East Avenue K and did not yet know why the shooting occurred.
Sheriff’s spokesman Oscar Butao said the officer suffered minor injuries and that both he and the other man were taken to a local hospital.
