Today’s tech-savvy kids may not be hip to the golden age of singing cowboys, but they can still roll with the goofball spirit of country and western roustabouts Riders in the Sky. “Kids appreciate the anarchic. That’s why we liked Mad magazine when we were young,” muses the group’s rhythm guitarist and yodeler Ranger Doug (pictured at far right). “There’s something to that western pulse that’s really infectious to a kid. It reminds you of riding a horse.” Catch Doug and his compadres as they present “Riders Radio Theatre ... On the Road!” a down-home, live-action radio show that Roy Rogers and Gene Autry would cheer. 3 p.m. Sun., Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. $27.50-$51. (800) 300-4345; www.cerritoscenter.com
