BIG WEST CONFERENCE

UC Irvine (5-8) at Cal State Fullerton (7-4), 7 p.m. -- The Titans open conference play having lost two of their last three games. They have four players averaging in double figures for points but are allowing opponents to shoot 50.1%. Anteaters center Darren Fells averaged 22 points and six rebounds and shot 67.9% in two games last week.

UC Riverside (3-9, 0-1) at UC Davis (6-7), 7 p.m. -- The Highlanders have lost five of their last six games, including a conference opener Wednesday against Pacific in which they allowed the Tigers to shoot 60% from the field. Larry Cunningham is averaging 15.8 points to lead Riverside. Davis is playing its first conference game as a member of the Big West. The Aggies are 5-1 at home.

WOMEN

PACIFIC 10 CONFERENCE

Stanford (12-1, 2-0) at UCLA (6-7, 1-1), 7 -- Stanford, ranked No. 2 in the nation, is the third top-five team the Bruins have faced this season. UCLA kept the first two close, losing to Maryland by four points and to Tennessee by 12. The Cardinal have one of the top shooting guards in the nation in senior Candice Wiggins, a two-time Pac-10 player of the year who is averaging a team-high 17.9 points.

USC (8-5, 1-1) vs. California (11-2, 2-0), 7 -- The Trojans have won four of their last five. Over the last four games, point guards Camille LeNoir and Hailey Dunham have averaged 23.3 points. Cal counters with center Ashley Walker (17.2 points, 10.2 rebounds) and guard Alexis Gray-Lawson (13 points).
