* at Columbus 6, St. Louis 4: Nikolai Zherdev scored twice in the last six minutes -- one on a highlight-reel move that provided the go-ahead goal. With the score tied at 3-3, Zherdev swooped into the offensive zone and passed the puck to himself backward between his legs before his wrist shot from the high slot that got by goaltender Hannu Toivonen at the 5:57 mark.

* Minnesota 5, at Chicago 2: Josh Harding made 41 saves, Marian Gaborik scored two goals and the Wild handed the Blackhawks their eighth consecutive loss. Minnesota won despite being outshot, 43-16.

* N.Y. Islanders 5, at Calgary 4 (SO): Mike Sillinger scored twice in regulation and had another in the shootout. In the shootout, Kristian Huselius led off and scored to put the Flames ahead, 1-0. Sillinger answered with a goal. Rick DiPietro stopped Jarome Iginla, then Richard Park scored for the Islanders. DiPietro ended it with a save on Owen Nolan’s shot.

* Phoenix 4, at Vancouver 3: Keith Yandle and Ed Jovanovski scored 16 seconds apart on two-man advantages in the second period to help the Coyotes hand the Canucks their first home loss in regulation since Nov. 1.
