* Toronto 2, at Seattle 0: Roy Halladay pitched the 10th shutout of his career, limiting the Mariners to four singles. Halladay threw 115 pitches, 84 for strikes. He did not walk a batter, and only two putouts were made by the Blue Jays’ outfield. Halladay leads the majors with six complete games.

* Texas 2, at New York 1: Scott Feldman and the Rangers’ bullpen shut down the Yankees on four hits. Rangers relievers threw 3 1/3 perfect innings, never letting a ball out of the infield. Jason Giambi of the Yankees tripled in the sixth inning, his first three-base hit since 2002.

* at Chicago 9, Cleveland 7: Nick Swisher homered from both sides of the plate, hitting his second grand slam in four games and adding a solo shot to lead the White Sox.

* Detroit 5, at Minnesota 4: Curtis Granderson’s go-ahead single capped Detroit’s two-run eighth inning.

* Kansas City 6, at Baltimore 5 (11 innings): Miguel Olivo homered against George Sherrill with two out in the ninth to force extra innings, and Jose Guillen singled in the tiebreaking run in the 11th. The Royals rallied from a four-run deficit to win their sixth straight on the road, the team’s longest run since 1999. The victory also ended Kansas City’s seven-game losing streak at Camden Yards.

* at Tampa Bay 5, Boston 4: James Shields scattered five hits over 6 1/3 innings, and B.J. Upton and Gabe Gross homered for the Rays.

* Oakland 6, at Angels 1: The Athletics won to pull to within 3 1/2 games of the Angels in the AL West.
