at Florida 6, Philadelphia 2: Dan Uggla hit a game-ending grand slam with one out in the ninth inning to lift the Marlins past the NL East leaders for the second straight night. Jorge Cantu homered twice for the Marlins off Cole Hamels, who struck out 13 in eight innings. Tom Gordon relieved Hamels to start the ninth and gave up a single to Cantu and a pair of walks before Uggla’s blast.

St. Louis 10, at Cincinnati 0: Rick Ankiel and Jason LaRue homered off Johnny Cueto, and Braden Looper (8-5) pitched a three-hitter for his first career shutout in the Cardinals’ fourth straight victory.

at New York 5, Arizona 3 (13 innings): Carlos Beltran hit a two-run homer with two outs in the 13th inning, and the Mets overcame another blown save by Billy Wagner, who allowed a three-run homer by Mark Reynolds in the ninth.

Milwaukee 10, at Houston 6: Corey Hart hit two of the Brewers’ season-high five home runs. Russell Branyan, Mike Cameron and Jason Kendall also homered for Milwaukee, which ended a five-game slide at Houston.

at Colorado 1, San Francisco 0: After tagging up on Yorvit Torrealba’s flyout, Garret Atkins slid home safely in the ninth inning when Giants catcher Bengie Molina dropped the ball trying to make a swipe tag.

at Pittsburgh 3, Washington 1: Ryan Doumit homered for the third time in two games for the Pirates and Ian Snell pitched into the seventh inning to earn his first win in 11 starts. Snell (3-6) hadn’t won since April 12.

at Chicago 7, Atlanta 2: Ryan Dempster threw his first complete game since Sept. 25, 2002.

at San Diego 4, Dodgers 1: Former Dodger Randy Wolf combined with two relievers on a five-hitter.
