Teen shot, killed outside a party

A San Fernando Valley teenager who intervened in a fight between his friend and suspected gang members outside a party in Northridge was shot and killed late Sunday, police said.
Michael Fabian, 16, of Winnetka was found in an alley behind the 8500 block of Corbin Avenue with a gunshot wound to his chest, said Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
He died at the scene.
A gunman fired as many as four shots at Fabian and a friend, who was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, authorities said.
