Ex-teacher gets 3 years for porn

A 42-year-old former teacher at a school for juvenile offenders was sentenced Friday to three years in federal prison for possession of child pornography.
Edgardo Vilas, a former teacher at Rancho Del Campo, Juvenile Court and Community School, pleaded guilty to possessing more than 600 images of children, some as young as 6, in sexually explicit poses. Vilas was also sentenced to five years’ probation and will have to register as a sex offender.
