Executive pay: An article in Sunday's Business section about a decline in the average compensation paid to chief executives in 2007 said a regulatory filing by Mattel Inc. didn't address why the total amount the company paid its CEO, Robert A. Eckert, rose 89% last year. The filing in fact attributed the increase to long-term incentive compensation that the company pays every three years.
