Titans...21 Bears...14
Kerry Collins threw for a season-high 289 yards and two touchdowns to propel the unbeaten Tennessee Titans to a 21-14 victory over the Chicago Bears.
The Titans improved to 9-0 despite one of the worst rushing performances in team history: 20 yards, just one yard above their franchise low. They had minus-five in the first half. It was a stunning performance for a team that was third in the NFL in rushing before Sunday.
Even so, the Titans set a club record with their 12th consecutive regular-season win thanks to Collins and a defense that shut down Rex Grossman and the Bears (5-4).
Collins completed 12 consecutive passes at one point and was 30 for 41 without an interception. Bo Scaife caught 10 passes for 78 yards with a touchdown.
Quoteworthy: “Maybe they have some kind of angel around them or something.” -- Rashied Davis, Bears receiver, on the unbeaten Titans
