The California Highway Patrol says it is looking for the driver of a car that hit and killed two people on Interstate 80 who had left their vehicle after a collision.
The CHP says the victims, a 57-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman, were driving a Mercedes through this Bay Area community when they hit a Honda about 4 a.m. Sunday. Their car ended up in the far left lane and was hit two more times.
The Honda ended up on the right shoulder.
The two apparently decided to leave their vehicle and were standing in traffic lanes when a vehicle struck and killed them, then left the scene.
