Texas defeated No. 1 Oklahoma behind the all-around play of quarterback Colt McCoy, who needed to have a big day to offset a dominant effort by Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford. A look at their performances and those of other Heisman hopefuls:

COLT MCCOY, junior quarterback, Texas

In the second half, McCoy used his arm and legs to rally the Longhorns to a key Big 12 Conference win over Oklahoma. Stats: 28 of 35 passing for 277 yards, one touchdown, no interceptions; 14 carries for 31 yards rushing.

TIM TEBOW, junior quarterback, Florida

Tebow showed why he is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner by leading the Gators to an impressive victory over Louisiana State. Stats: 14 of 21 passing for 210 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions; 12 carries for 22 yards rushing, one touchdown.

SAM BRADFORD, sophomore quarterback, Oklahoma

Bradford finished with strong numbers against the Longhorns but had two passes intercepted. Stats: 28 of 39 passing for 387 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions.

CHASE DANIEL, senior quarterback, Missouri

Daniel could not play the hero role as he had three costly interceptions in the Tigers’ upset home loss to Oklahoma State. Stats: 39 of 52 passing for 390 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.

JAVON RINGER, senior running back, Michigan State

The Spartans’ inconsistent passing game forced Ringer to work for every yard in a victory over Northwestern. Stats: 35 carries for 124 yards, two touchdowns; two catches for 16 yards.

MARK SANCHEZ, junior quarterback, USC

Sanchez struggled with turnovers in the second half, but the Trojans shut out Arizona State, 28-0. Stats: 13 of 26 passing for 179 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions; five carries for minus 12 yards rushing, one touchdown.

DARYLL CLARK, junior quarterback, Penn State

The undefeated Nittany Lions cruised over Wisconsin behind Clark, who has provided great leadership all season. Stats: 16 of 26 passing for 244 yards, one touchdown and one interception; six carries for 12 yards rushing, two touchdowns.
