Update -- The Sharks made several changes in the off-season, bringing in a new coach, Todd McClellan, and several new players. Perhaps because of that, they’re off to their best start in franchise history. Ducks Coach Randy Carlyle said the most notable additions to the Sharks’ roster have been defensemen Dan Boyle and Rob Blake (a former King), who have two assists apiece and aren’t afraid to get involved in the offensive end. “They can play a skating game, they can play a pace game,” Carlyle said.
