at Louisville 24, No. 14 South Florida 20: Hunter Cantwell threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Scott Long, their second scoring play of the game, and the Cardinals (5-2, 1-1) upset the penalty-plagued Bulls (6-2, 1-2) at Louisville, Ky. South Florida committed 14 penalties for 109 yards and Matt Grothe threw two interceptions.
Rutgers 54, at No. 17 Pittsburgh 34: Mike Teel, booed at times by his own fans this season, threw five of his school-record six touchdown passes in the first half and the Scarlet Knights (3-5, 2-2) came out throwing to confound the Panthers (5-2, 2-1) in what turned into a stunningly easy victory. Teel had three scoring passes to Kenny Britt and two to Tim Brown.
at Connecticut 40, Cincinnati 16: Donald Brown ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns and the Huskies (6-2, 2-1) scored 20 fourth-quarter points to beat the Bearcats (5-2, 1-1) at East Hartford. Brown, who came in as the nation’s leading rusher, set the school’s single-season record with 1,324 yards in only eight games.
