at Toronto 7, Tampa Bay 4 (13 innings): Gregg Zaun hit a walk-off grand slam and the Blue Jays won their seventh game in a row. Lyle Overbay hit two home runs for the Blue Jays.
Detroit 6, at Minnesota 4: Curtis Granderson and Magglio Ordonez each hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning for the Tigers.
Oakland 5, at Baltimore 1: Jack Cust hit two home runs and the Athletics handed the Orioles their eighth loss in a row. The first game of the day-night doubleheader was wiped out because of rain and no makeup date was announced.
at Kansas City 3, Cleveland 1: Gil Meche (11-10) gave up three hits in seven innings to win for the first time in more than a month. The Indians’ winning streak on the road ended at 10 games.
New York 7, at Seattle 4: Bobby Abreu and Jason Giambi each homered for the Yankees, who rallied for five runs in the seventh inning.
at Texas 15, Boston 8: Nelson Cruz hit two home runs and a double to lead the Rangers.
at Chicago 7, Angels 6 (15 innings): Jim Thome hit a walk-off home run against Justin Speier.
