CLEVELAND -- Terrell Owens caught a 35-yard touchdown pass, Tony Romo effortlessly picked apart Cleveland’s secondary, Marion Barber scored on a pair of one-yard runs and the Dallas Cowboys overwhelmed the Browns, 28-10.

Considered the team to beat in the NFC, the Cowboys lived up to all their preseason hype with a solid all-around performance. With Romo completing 24 of 32 passes for 320 yards, Dallas’ offense controlled the clock and had four long touchdown drives. The defense held one of the AFC’s most potent offenses in check.

Owens had five catches for 87 yards, and Barber ran for 80 yards before leaving in the third quarter with bruised ribs.

Adam “Pacman” Jones, recently reinstated after serving a 17-month suspension, started at cornerback for the injured Terence Newman and was called for interference in the end zone to set up Cleveland’s only touchdown.
