Rangers steal one from the Red Sox

Julio Borbon had four hits and four of Texas’ eight stolen bases, Derek Holland (6-7) pitched into the seventh inning and the Rangers cut Boston’s American League wild-card lead to half a game with a 7-2 victory over the Red Sox on Saturday night.

The eight stolen bases matched the most in the majors this season. Boston also saw Tampa Bay steal eight bases on May 3.

Elvis Andrus stole three bases and Ian Kinsler stole two.

Jason Bay and Victor Martinez hit home runs for the Red Sox.
