Best airport for napping between flights? Singapore’s Changi

Singapore’s Changi airport is so comfy that you might not need to spring for a hotel room if you have a long layover; on the other hand, don’t plan to catch any zzz’s at LAX, Paris’ Charles de Gaulle or New York’s JFK airport, according to a survey of frequent fliers. The Internet poll, by www.sleepinginairports.com, with more than 6,000 reviews, rated the world’s best and worst airports in which to take a nap. The goal, the website said, is to help travelers “who are looking for a way to skim a few bucks off their travel expenses.” Among the features that gave Singapore’s airport the top spot: designated napping areas, showers, a fitness and spa center and a swimming pool.

There are salad bars, taco bars and burger bars. So why not a tequila bar? Las Ventanas al Paraíso, a high-end Rosewood Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, now boasts such a thing, with tequileros, or masters of tequila, to school you on the drink’s origins, classifications and the proper way to drink it. After a brief background on the drink, guests who sign up for a lesson will sample three kinds of tequila: blanco (aged up to 60 days), reposado (aged up to 12 months) and anejo (aged at least 13 months). Brando retreat

Marlon Brando’s French Polynesian atoll, Tetiaroa, will be open to the public for the first time when a new eco-resort called the Brando is completed in 2011. After years of false starts, construction has finally begun on the atoll, where the late, reclusive superstar lived for several years. The luxury resort will be the only hotel on Tetiaroa, a playground of Tahitian kings long before Brando bought it in 1965. Plans call for 47 bungalow villas with private plunge pools, a spa, a fitness center and a community pool. Tetiaroa, about 35 miles from Tahiti, is a 13-island chain circled by a coral reef. Flights to fun

Spring breakers, think ahead and save. Virgin America, known for its chic, high-tech cabins and cheap fares, will begin daily nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from Los Angeles and San Francisco on Nov. 18.
