Comedy Store: An article in Tuesday’s Calendar about the family legal battle over the Comedy Store said that the Sunset Strip club was founded by Sammy Shore and Mitzi Shore. It was founded by Sammy Shore and Rudy De Luca.

Dying Japanese town: An article Sept. 30 in Section A about the decline of Kanna, Japan, contained several errors. The town has one elementary school and one junior high school, not two of each. About half of its residents are older than 65, its website says; the article put the proportion above 60%. And its population in the 1970s was about 10,000, city officials say; the article said it was 20,000 in the late 1970s.

Steve Lopez column: In Wednesday’s Section A, Steve Lopez’s column referred to the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. -- where Jack Kyser is chief economist -- as the Los Angeles Economic Development Council.

UCLA basketball: In Wednesday’s Sports section, the photo caption with the UCLA-New Mexico game story misidentified the Bruin who was pictured, Tyler Honeycutt, as J’mison Morgan.

Garth Brooks review: In Monday’s Calendar, photos taken by Henry Diltz -- not Dieltz, as the credits said -- accompanied the review of Garth Brooks’ Las Vegas show.
