West Covina police were searching Friday night for the gunman in the fatal Christmas Eve shooting of a 32-year-old man at an apartment complex. Two men are being held in connection with the incident but were not the triggermen, police said.

The victim, identified by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office as Jesus Saucedo-Herrera, lived at the complex at 1541 W. Harbert St., where he was found dead of gunshot wounds shortly before midnight Thursday. Police said Friday they had not yet discovered the motive or the weapon.

Carlos Torres, 53, and Jordan Torres, 21, were being held at West Covina’s jail on $1-million bail.
