A man suspected of kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl in Lakewood last month has been arrested, authorities said.
The victim was with another 14-year-old girl in the 12000 block of Gradwell Street about 8:45 p.m. on Jan. 23 when a man got out of a sport utility vehicle and told the girls he was a police officer, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Al Garcia said.
The man shined a flashlight on the girls, knocked one of them down and forced the other into the vehicle, Garcia said.
He drove a few miles away and raped the girl before dropping her off, Garcia said.
