QUICK TAKES - July 16, 2009
There were no major changes at the top of the monthly Arbitron radio ratings that came out Wednesday, with Top 40 music station KIIS-FM (102.7) maintaining its reign as the most popular station in the Los Angeles-Orange County market.
Rounding out the top 5 in the survey period that ran from May 28 to June 24 were, in order, talk station KFI-AM (640), adult-contemporary KOST-FM (103.5), oldies outlet KRTH-FM (101.1) and pop music station KLSX-FM (97.1).
In the key time period of 6-10 a.m. weekdays, when millions of people are on their way to work, KFI was No. 1. On the 3-7 p.m. drive home, however, KOST-FM was the favored station.
