Iverson will be out two more weeks
Detroit Pistons guard Allen Iverson will be sidelined at least two more weeks because of a sore back.
He has been out three games already and Detroit is six games under .500 with him in the starting lineup.

The Cleveland Cavaliers agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Joe Smith, bringing the veteran forward back for another NBA title run. . . . Forward Stromile Swift signed a free-agent contract with Phoenix for the remainder of the season, giving the Suns another big man to replace the injured Amare Stoudemire. . . . Seeking backcourt for the playoff run, the Miami Heat signed guard Luther Head, who was waived Monday after almost four seasons with the Houston Rockets. . . . The San Antonio Spurs released forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu in what may be a space-clearing move to add veteran forward Drew Gooden.
