at Baltimore 12, New York 5: Aubrey Huff hit a three-run home run during an eight-run second inning in a game that featured seven home runs. The Orioles sent 13 batters to the plate in the second.
at Chicago 3, Texas 2: Carlos Quentin doubled twice and scored the go-ahead run in the eighth inning on Paul Konerko’s sacrifice fly.
Toronto 6, at Oakland 4: Brian Tallet (2-1) gave up two hits over seven innings and Lyle Overbay hit a home run for the Blue Jays. Jason Giambi hit two home runs for the Athletics.
Detroit 4, at Cleveland 0: Edwin Jackson (2-2) and two relievers extended the Indians’ scoreless streak to 19 innings.
at Minnesota 9, Seattle 6: Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau hit consecutive home runs for the second game in a row for the Twins, and Michael Cuddyer joined in with a 427-foot, three-run home run.
at Angels 1, Kansas City 0: Joe Saunders threw his first career shutout.
