Delonte West returns in Cavaliers’ victory

at Cleveland 90, Charlotte 79: Delonte West scored 13 points in his delayed season debut, Mo Williams added 24 and LeBron James 14 as the Cavaliers, back at full strength, rolled over the Bobcats, who have never won at Cleveland. After missing all eight preseason games and Cleveland’s first three of the regular season to deal with personal issues, West was cleared by team doctors and made five of seven shots.

Philadelphia 141, at New York 127 (OT): Andre Iguodala scored 32 points, including the go-ahead three-point play in overtime, and the 76ers blew a 23-point lead before beating the Knicks. New York’s Al Harrington responded to a demotion with a career-high 42 points, but fouled out with the Knicks leading by three in overtime. Danilo Gallinari, who replaced him in the lineup, finished with a career-best 30.

at Washington 123, New Jersey 104: Gilbert Arenas scored 32 points, including a halfcourt buzzer-beater at the end of the first quarter, Andray Blatche scored a career-high 30, and the Wizards shot 61.5% to overcome the absence of both of their regular starting forwards, Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison.

at San Antonio 113, Sacramento 94: Manu Ginobili scored 13 points and three assists, not including when he carried off a live bat that flew onto the court. Tim Duncan had only seven points, but Tony Parker scored 24 points and Richard Jefferson added 21 to lead the Spurs over the winless Kings.

at Milwaukee 96, Detroit 85: Rookie Brandon Jennings scored 21 of his 24 points in the second half and the Bucks won their home opener.
