Luxury items seized in ‘bling ring’ probe

Police recovered Paris Hilton’s designer perfume, a pistol belonging to actor Brian Austin Green and a handwritten inventory listing diamonds and other jewelry at the homes of suspects accused of burglarizing the homes of young Hollywood celebrities, according to a search warrant affidavit obtained by The Times.

The affidavit by Los Angeles Police Department detectives names five alleged members of the burglary crew -- Jonathan Ajar, Courtney Ames, Roy Lopez Jr., Alexis Neiers and Diana Tamayo -- who were charged last week with residential burglary and other felonies in connection with at least 10 burglaries in the Hollywood Hills from late 2008 to last month.

The largest haul was found inside the Winnetka apartment of Ajar, a convicted drug dealer who was a fugitive in the case, according to the affidavit.

The search of Ajar’s residence turned up illicit drugs and a stash of weapons including a Sig Sauer handgun belonging to Green, who starred in the original “Beverly Hills 90210,” the document states.

Ajar surrendered to police Wednesday.

Other items listed as being seized from Ajar, a former part-time club promoter at Les Deux nightclub, included a diamond-encrusted Cartier Tiger watch, numerous gold and diamond bracelets and cut diamonds in a bag weighing more than 42 carats.

Additionally, investigators said they found a handwritten inventory that listed more than 42 carats of hand-cut diamonds, high-end watches and several diamond-encrusted bracelets.

A source familiar with the case told The Times that many of the items on the list were consistent with merchandise reported stolen by celebrities including Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom, Megan Fox, Audrina Patridge and Ashley Tisdale.

That same day, detectives said, they seized a home computer, several rings, a necklace and a black leather Marc Jacobs purse at the Thousand Oaks home of Neiers, an 18-year-old aspiring model whose family was the subject of a reality television show for the E! network.

Through her attorney, she has denied any wrongdoing.

Tamayo, 19, of Newbury Park was found with a Louis Vuitton brown leather purse, stacks of assorted perfumes, including the Paris Hilton signature brand, a Hermes black leather purse, and designer shoes by Marc Fisher and BCBG, the court documents noted.

Detectives also got warrants to search the homes of Ames, 18, and Lopez, described in the affidavit as a 27-year-old “gang member,” but did not list any property found at those residences.
