The fans weren’t looking for a split

Dear Frank and Jamie:

Would you mind putting off all the ugly accusations, recriminations and posturing by attack-dog attorneys until after our team tries to win the World Series? We’d all appreciate it.

Keep in mind who the other children of this divorce are. And, by the way, we don’t want to have to go to two Dodger Stadiums when this is over.

To all of you blue-clad visitors who tried to turn Petco Park into your house, don’t expect any sympathy from Padres fans on the impending McCourt divorce. You came down and dissed our team, which at the end of the season (when we did pretty well against you if you recall) had a payroll roughly equal to the pre-suspension salary of you-know-who.

If the Moores’ divorce has been ugly, you can expect ugly squared in Los Angeles. It appears the McCourts have lawyered up and already started the trash talking. If you don’t make it to the World Series this year, don’t plan on playoffs in L.A. again soon.

How unfortunate that the McCourts’ separation might lead to them selling the Dodgers. On a related note, is there any way we can get Kings owner Phil Anschutz to join eHarmony?
