Magic beats Celtics, moves into second in the East

Orlando 96, at Boston 89: Vince Carter led a 19-0 surge in the third quarter and finished with 20 points as the Magic moved ahead of the Celtics and into second place in the Eastern Conference. Carter scored nine points during a rally that began after Rajon Rondo’s three-pointer gave the Celtics a 60-51 lead. The Magic turned a 51-40 halftime deficit into a 76-62 lead after the third and stayed in front by at least five points the rest of the way.

at Toronto 115, Sacramento 104: Chris Bosh had 36 points and 11 rebounds, and the Raptors extended the Kings’ losing streak to six games. Toronto topped 100 points for the 16th consecutive game and won its seventh straight at home. Sacramento is 3-22 on the road.
