Heat’s strange rout-or-be-routed pattern continues

at Miami 115, Sacramento 84: Dwyane Wade had 27 points and eight assists before sitting out the fourth quarter, Michael Beasley had 21 points and 13 rebounds and a bizarre week of blowouts continued for the Heat. Miami beat Indiana by 30 points Tuesday night, lost to Charlotte by 39 Wednesday night and won in Washington by 24 Friday night. Only one of the team’s last nine games has been decided by fewer than 10 points.

at Denver 116, New Orleans 110 (OT): Carmelo Anthony scored 30 points despite making only nine of 28 shots, and Arron Afflalo made two three-pointers in overtime to lift the Nuggets to their 29th win. All five Denver starters scored in double figures, with Chauncey Billups and Kenyon Martin getting 20 points apiece and Afflalo scoring 19. Chris Paul had 26 points and 10 assists for the Hornets.

Orlando 106, at Charlotte 95 (OT): Jameer Nelson scored six of his 21 points in overtime and the Magic recovered after blowing a big lead. Vince Carter also had 21 points to help the Magic end the Bobcats’ home winning streak at nine. Orlando scored the first 11 points in overtime.

at Utah 116, New Jersey 83: Mehmet Okur had 20 points and 11 rebounds and the Jazz dropped the Nets to 0-18 against the Western Conference and 3-40 overall. Carlos Boozer had 22 points and nine rebounds, and Ronnie Brewer scored 15 points for Utah. The Jazz has won five of six and is seven games above .500 for the first time this season at 25-18.

at Phoenix 112, Golden State 103: Goran Dragic scored 18 of his career-high 20 points in the fourth quarter, and Steve Nash scored 23 points in the Suns’ 10th consecutive home victory over the Warriors. Corey Maggette had 27 points for Golden State, which played without leading scorer Monta Ellis, who has a sprained right ankle.

Philadelphia 107, at Indiana 97: Elton Brand scored 23 points, and Thaddeus Young had 22 points and 10 rebounds in the 76ers’ second straight victory. Allen Iverson, recently voted a starter for the Eastern Conference All-Star team, had 17 points, five rebounds and three assists. Danny Granger scored 22 points for the Pacers, who have lost four of five after a three-game winning streak.

Chicago 104, at Houston 97: Brad Miller scored 25 points in place of the injured Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson had 16 points and 14 rebounds, and Derrick Rose scored 20 points for the Bulls, who are 6-2 in their last eight games. Noah was a last-minute scratch for the Bulls because of a left foot injury.

Portland 97, at Detroit 93: Martell Webster scored a career-high 28 points, and LaMarcus Aldridge scored 21 for the short-handed Trail Blazers, who were without Brandon Roy (sprained ankle) and several other regulars.

at Milwaukee 127, Minnesota 94: Carlos Delfino scored 24 points, and rookie Brandon Jennings had 18 points and a career-high 13 assists for the Bucks. Rookie Jonny Flynn had 20 points for the Timberwolves, who have lost seven of eight and 12 of 14.
