State of the Union: Excerpts from President Obama’s State of the Union address in Thursday’s Section A were credited to the Associated Press. The excerpts came from a White House transcript of the prepared speech and were corrected by Times staff to reflect the way Obama delivered the speech.

Zelda Rubinstein: In Thursday’s Section A, a caption with the Zelda Rubinstein obituary said a photograph showed a scene from the film “Poltergeist.” The scene was from “Poltergeist II.”

L.A. Opera: An article in Thursday’s Calendar section about the upcoming Los Angeles Opera season said that Daniel Okulitch would be singing the role of the Count in “Le Nozze di Figaro” (“The Marriage of Figaro”). He will be appearing in another baritone role, Figaro.

Zinn obituary: The obituary of professor, author and social activist Howard Zinn in Thursday’s Section A said that Spelman College in the 1950s and ‘60s was then an all-black women’s school. The college’s current student population remains all female and is predominately black -- 91% of those enrolled are African American, according to the most recent statistics.
