So You Think You Can Dance: This week’s results episode features a performances by dancers from the upcoming movie “Step Up 3D” and by Christian TV (9 p.m. Fox).

The Universe: The science-based series returns with the episode “7 Wonders of the Solar System,” featuring a look at Saturn’s famous rings, Jupiter’s Great Red Spot, the Asteroid Belt and more (9 p.m. History).

Project Runway: The unscripted fashion competition series returns for a new season (9 p.m. Lifetime).

Jersey Shore: The cast from the controversial unscripted series heads to Miami Beach as Season 2 gets off to a raucous start with back-to-back episodes (9 and 10 p.m. MTV).

Life With Father: William Powell scored a well-deserved Oscar nomination as lead actor for his performance in the title role of this 1947 adaptation of the stage comedy smash. Irene Dunne stars as his patient wife, while Elizabeth Taylor is the young beauty who catches the eye of their oldest son (Jimmy Lydon). Edmund Gwenn and ZaSu Pitts also star (3 p.m. TCM).
