Iraq accusation: An article in Monday’s Section A that detailed former Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi’s accusation that there was a plot to kill him gave the wrong date for a letter he received from the U.S. military. The letter was dated April 26, not April 29.

Les Richter: The obituary of motor sports figure and former Los Angeles Rams player Les Richter in the June 13 California section said that Riverside International Raceway hosted its first NASCAR race in 1963. NASCAR first raced in Riverside in 1958. It was in 1963 that the Riverside track, then under Richter’s management, became an annual fixture on the NASCAR schedule, where it remained until the track closed after the 1988 race.

Historic home: A June 12 Home section article about a Greene & Greene house for sale said that the kitchen sink could not be replaced because of protections placed on the historic architecture. The sink can be replaced in a way that replicates the look and, if possible, the materials of the original.

Garden profile: A June 12 Home section profile of Cheryl K. Lerner’s L.A. landscape referred to boxwood globes in the frontyard. The plants are pruned dwarf yaipun holly. Also, a caption said that vintage plant hangers were installed on the side of the house. They are on the detached garage and guest apartment.

“The Golden Ticket”: An article in Sunday’s Arts & Books section about the opera “The Golden Ticket,” based on Roald Dahl’s novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” said that it was commissioned by Timothy O’Leary, Opera Theatre of St. Louis’ general director, Wexford Opera and American Lyric Theater. It was commissioned by American Lyric Theater and Felicity Dahl, Roald’s widow. The world-premiere production was co-produced by Opera Theatre of St. Louis and Wexford Opera.
