LeBron James doesn’t play in Cavaliers’ 92-85 loss to Bucks

at Milwaukee 92, Cleveland 85: Rookie Brandon Jennings scored 25 points and the Bucks beat the Cavaliers for their ninth win in 10 games, while LeBron James watched from the bench and limped noticeably when he wasn’t sitting on it. Cleveland Coach Mike Brown insisted his decision to sit James was for rest and had nothing to do with the previous night when the star twisted his right ankle. The Cavaliers have lost 10 straight without James in the lineup, dating to 2007.

Dallas 122, at Chicago 116: Dirk Nowitzki scored 27 points, Rodrigue Beaubois and Caron Butler added 24 apiece and the Mavericks extended their season-high win streak to 11 games. Nowitzki scored 13 in the fourth quarter and Dallas hung on after watching a 14-point lead shrink to four. Derrick Rose scored 34 points for the Bulls, who lost their fourth in a row.

San Antonio 102, at Memphis 92: Richard Jefferson scored 18 points, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili added 17 each and the Spurs won their fourth straight and extended the Grizzlies’ home-court losing streak to eight games.

Houston 112, at Minnesota 98: Luis Scola had 25 points and a career-high 21 rebounds and Kevin Martin scored 30 points for the struggling Rockets, who won for only the third time in eight games, a skid that dropped them to 10th place in the West.

at Miami 100, Atlanta 94: Dwyane Wade scored 38 points, and Michael Beasley capped a big fourth quarter with seven consecutive points in the final two minutes for the Heat.

at Charlotte 101, Golden State 90: The Bobcats pulled away late to Warriors rookie Stephen Curry’s return home. The former Davidson star had 25 points.

at Phoenix 113, Indiana 105: Amare Stoudemire’s 30 points led the Suns to victory.

at Utah 107, Clippers 85
