Brian Fuentes
retired the side in order in the eighth inning and has allowed one earned run in 7 2/3 spring innings, but he wasn’t that thrilled with is outing. His fastball was clocked between 89-91 mph, no improvement over his 2009 velocity and a few ticks off his 2008 velocity. “I feel good, whatever that counts for,” Fuentes said. “That’s the biggest thing right now.”
