South Korean lawsuit: An article in Monday’s Section A on a defamation lawsuit filed by Samsung Electronics against the writer of a column in the Korea Times said that Sisa In magazine reported in November 2007 that a former lawmaker had told it she received a golf bag from Samsung containing about $10,000 in cash. The report was published in 2008, and the bag allegedly contained $100,000, according to the magazine.

California airman: A brief item in the LATExtra section on May 2 said the remains of a California airman missing in action in World War II had been buried at Arlington National Cemetery. The airman, Sgt. Robert J. Stinson of San Bernardino, was among several crew members from a downed B-24 whose group remains were buried there; his family buried his individual remains in Riverside in 2009.

Moshe Hirsch obituary: A brief obituary in Monday’s LATExtra section said that Moshe Hirsch had died Sunday. Hirsch, an American-born anti-Zionist rabbi and close associate of Yasser Arafat, died the previous Sunday, May 2.

Lena Horne: The appreciation of Lena Horne in Tuesday’s Calendar section listed “The Fallen Sparrow” among her film credits. She did not appear in that movie.

Marcia Milgrom Dodge: An article in Tuesday’s Calendar section about director-choreographer Marcia Milgrom Dodge said that Edward Albee was among the clients of Creative Artists Agency agent George Lane. Albee is not one of his clients.

NCAA volleyball championship: An item in the Day in Sports in Sunday’s Sports section about the NCAA volleyball championship match said that Penn State, which was defeated by Stanford, was the defending champion. The 2009 champion was UC Irvine. The item also said that Penn State was playing in its 14th NCAA final. This was the school’s sixth final.

On the Spot: The On the Spot column in Sunday’s Travel section said the euro was at parity with the dollar when it was introduced in 1999. The euro was valued at $1.17 when it was introduced.
