Nebraska has chance to play spoiler again against Missouri
GAMES TO WATCH
No. 7 Missouri (7-0) at No. 14 Nebraska (6-1)
Saturday, 12:30 p.m., ESPN
Nebraska started the season with the clearest path to the national title, but an Oct. 16 home loss to Texas has thrust the Cornhuskers into the spoiler’s role. Nebraska ended Oklahoma State’s unbeaten season last week in Stillwater. The pick: Nebraska.
No. 5 Michigan State (8-0) at No. 18 Iowa (5-2)
Saturday, 12:30 p.m., Channel 7
Michigan State, off to its best start since 1966, faces the last formidable foe on its Big Ten schedule. After Iowa, the last three schools Iowa plays — Minnesota, Purdue, Penn State — have a combined 9-13 record. The pick: Iowa.
No. 3 Auburn (8-0) at Mississippi (3-4)
Saturday, 3 p.m., ESPN2
Auburn is No. 3 in the polls, No. 1 in the BCS for the first time in school history, and heading to Oxford knowing that a No. 1 team — Associated Press leaders Alabama and Ohio State, then BCS leader Oklahoma — has lost each of the last three weekends. Will Auburn be the fourth? The pick: Mississippi.
