School rankings: An article in the Sept. 14 LATExtra section about the latest school rankings on the state’s Academic Performance Index referred to improvements on the index as a rise in “percentile points” rather than “points.” Percentile points would apply to a 100-point scale, and the API range is from 200 to 1,000.
Israeli government: An article in the Sept. 14 Section A about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the National Union party was part of Netanyahu’s ruling coalition. It is not.
Week 1 NFL picks: The “Farmer’s Picks” feature in the Sept. 10 Sports section said that San Francisco swept Seattle in their games last season. In fact, the Seahawks beat the 49ers in their second of two meetings, 20-17, in December in Seattle.
Twitter redesign: An article in the Sept. 15 LATExtra section about coming changes to Twitter’s website said the redesign was the first in the company’s four-year history. It was a major redesign, with several new features, but was not the first redesign.
