This month, the MGM wraps one of Sin City’s largest remodels in recent years at a cost of $160 million. The hotel’s 3,570 guest rooms and 642 suites in the main tower have been made over in earth tones with pops of platinum, tangerine and fuchsia, and eco-friendly touches have been added like LED lighting, solar shades and biodegradable bath amenities. High-tech accouterments include media hubs and flat-screen HD TVs, not yet available when the Strip-side resort debuted nearly two decades ago. The renovations are not all in-room — the hotel’s casino, restaurants and clubs also received upgrades.
