Parking rates at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank to rise next month

Share

Facing a drop in parking revenue, the managers of the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank announced plans Wednesday to raise parking rates at several lots.

A decline in passengers and the closure of an off-site parking lot has led to the decline in parking revenue over the last year, according to airport officials.

“The decision to raise rates in certain lots comes in the face of falling parking revenue that could affect our ability to supply the level of comfort and convenience our passengers desire,” said Dan Ferger, executive director of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority.

American Airlines pulled out of Bob Hope Airport in February and Economy Parking Lot D was closed in May to make way for an intermodal transportation center.

Starting Jan. 15, the daily rates at Economy lots B and C will increase from $10 to $12, while the daily rates at Lot E, across from the terminal, and the drop-off valet parking will rise from $21 to $23 per day.

The daily rate for Economy Lot A, near the control tower on Hollywood Way, will remain the same, $10 per day. The rate at the short-term parking structure will remain the same at $31 per day.
