Jeff Krolik named president of Fox Sports Regional Networks

Fox Sports has promoted Jeff Krolik to president of its regional networks unit.

Krolik, who had served as executive vice president of Fox Sports Regional Networks, will oversee 22 regional sports networks including Prime Ticket and Fox Sports West in Los Angeles. He also will be responsible for Fox Deportes, a Spanish-language network.

The promotion of Krolik comes in the wake of the departure of Fox Sports co-President Randy Freers, who last month became president and chief operating officer of the Fox Networks Group, the 21st Century unit that houses the media giant’s broadcast and cable properties.

Krolik, who reports to Fox Sports President Eric Shanks, joined the company in 2007. He also spent 15 years at HBO where he was involved in the pay channel’s international operations.
