TV ratings: ABC’s ‘Once Upon a Time’ surges; ‘Resurrection’ falls

ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” conjured up a strong night in the ratings Sunday, while “Resurrection” lost a little more life, according to early numbers from Nielsen.

Among key 18- to 49-year-old viewers, the 8 p.m. fantasy series “Once Upon a Time” surged 24% from last week to a rating of 2.1, hitting a three-week high and tying “Family Guy” as the highest-rated broadcast show among young adults.

“Resurrection” lost 10% of the rating from its most recent new episode to garner a 1.9, which puts it behind its fairy tale lead-in in 18-49 and marks its lowest number so far. ABC was the top network, with an average of 1.7 in the key demographic, in which a ratings point equals roughly 1.3 million viewers.

Animation-powered Fox tied CBS in the demo, as each notched a 1.5 in 18-49. On Fox, “Family Guy” was flat week-to-week, and “Bob’s Burgers” recovered from last week’s drop, rising 83% to a 1.1 in 18-49. Neil deGrasse Tyson’s “Cosmos” reboot held steady at a 1.4 in the demo.

CBS’ “Amazing Race” climbed 12% week-to-week for a 1.9, while “Good Wife” was flat at a 1.3, and “The Mentalist” dropped to a 1.2, tying its lowest ever in 18-49.

NBC’s “American Dream Builders” constructed a 40% improvement to a still-low 0.7 this time around, and the freshman series “Believe” and “Crisis” rose a 10th of a point each to a 1.2 and a 1.0, respectively.
