TV ratings: ‘Voice’ scores, ‘Blacklist’ and ‘Almost Human’ fall

NBC won Monday night with blind auditions on “The Voice” and James Spader’s “The Blacklist,” though the latter’s ratings in a key demographic were was down from last week.

The singing contest, now in its sixth season, drew an average of 15.7 million viewers overall, according to early numbers from Nielsen, making it the night’s most-watched show. Among key 18-to-49-year-olds, “The Voice” scored a rating of 4.5, down just 4% from its premiere last week. “The Blacklist” earned a 2.7 in the advertiser-desired demographic, down 13% from a week ago, but was virtually flat in total viewership (11.1 million).

In the 18-49 demo, a rating point equals roughly 1.3 million viewers.

CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” averaged an audience of 9.11 million, with a 3.3 rating, down 8% from last week but still good enough to make it the top non-reality show in the demo. “Mike & Molly,” “2 Broke Girls” and “Mom” were all up a bit week-to-week in the key demo, while the new, low-rated “Intelligence” was flat with last week at a 1.2.

ABC’s “The Bachelor” declined 12% to a 2.2 with its 90-minute “Women Tell All” telecast, followed by a rerun of the new comedy “Mixology,” which debuted last week with lackluster results. The repeat drew 3.7 million viewers. That weak lead-in didn’t do any favors for “Castle,” which notched a 1.6 rating, marking its lowest number ever in 18-49.

On Fox, “Almost Human” ended its first season on a low note, dropping one-tenth of a point to 1.5 in the key demo. The finale had 5.6 million viewers total, compared with 5.7 million last week. The Kevin Bacon thriller “The Following” rose a bit this week to a 1.7 and 5.1 million people watching.

CW’s “Star-Crossed” rose a tenth of a point to a 0.4, while “Beauty and the Beast” earned a 0.3.
